How Satan misinterpreted the mission of Jesus?

The mission of Jesus: Matthew 1:21 KJVS
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for He shall save his people from their sins.

The mission of Jesus was foretold to Joseph in a dream which is – He will save people from their sins.

While satan could not stop Christians from believing in Jesus, he became successful in convincing Christians that Jesus will save Christians in their sin instead of from their sin.

There is a huge difference between the two phrases. Satan has held humans under the power of sin. Man is unable to stop sinning. But, Jesus gave the power which frees man from the clutches of sin.

How precious is the thought that we may indeed become partakers of the divine nature, whereby we may overcome as Christ overcame!… FH 168.

Romans 6:22 KJV
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Romans 6:14 KJVS
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Romans 6:6 KJVS
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

John 8:34-36 KJVS
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. [35] And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. [36] If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
