Grace – the most misunderstood word in the Bible

99.9 percent of the Christians believe that God’s grace means God’s shows unmerited favor and they don’t have to keep the law.

Below are few verses which tells us what grace does in the life of the believers besides bringing forgiveness of sins.

  1. Romans 6:14 KJV
    For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Since grace is given, sin don’t have any control over the life of the believer.

  1. Titus 2:11-12 KJV
    For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, [12] Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Grace teaches us how to live a sanctified life. Believers overcome ungodliness and worldly lusts.

  1. 2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV
    And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

Grace empowers the weak believer to face temptations.

Law was only able to point to sin. But it couldn’t help sinner to stop sinning. But grace of God empowers sinners to overcome sin.

And what is sin. We all know by definition that, ‘sin is breaking God’s law’. In short, grace empowers us to keep the law.
